Summary

Group Process
The group is made up of 4 people. Both Kieth and Dai take roles within the group. Kieth has the task of coordinating the group and Dai reporting. The task was a seemingly simple one of asking some questions to an expert in e learning. The task was timed and a fairly open one with questions to be targeted around Structure/design of discussion area or interfaces in relation to online group management and Techniques of process management used during the discussion. The task was mainly cooperative as Yvonne dipped in and out where necessary to check on progress.

Group approach
The group approached the task in a brainstorming way. Most people posted thoughts after looking at the intuitive web links. Some tried to relate the questions to theory learned from the reader for this session. Posts were a little unequal as time issues came in to play with two of the group work loads and holidays featured in this.Kieth as co ordinator was instrumental in getting the task completed.

Content points for discussion
A summary of content would include questions on common goals, creativity versus templated interfaces,Literacy and competency in interface use,Common ground and co prescence and weather to be critically assertive in questioning.
The questions:
1. Bob we're interested in the medical professional project as there seem to be certain commonalities with the intention behind the GTC site and discussion forums. Could you give us some guidelines on how Intuitive deals with the issues of common ground and lack of co-presence in the design of this initiative?

2. How does Intuitive carry out qualitative evaluation of an online community such as Grid Club? Is there for example any behind the screens discussion with participants to get feedback as to the impact on pupils and teachers?

3. How does Intuitive design creativity into its websites to enable participants a creative web presence?

4. What allowances are made at a design level for varying degrees of literacy and computer literacy amongst participants?

The questions seemed to be representative of the groups ideas and brainstorm points.
